The brain must stay active to function properly. When you keep an active brain, it makes thinking easier and helps us stay focused by preventing clutter from building up.
When the brain is disused, it causes ongoing emotional reactions. We begin to feel frustrated often because we repress and suppress important facts that make up a whole piece of a story we often try to recall about our history.
Additionally, when the brain is inactive, we often dwell on negative emotions like anger, fear, resentment, guilt, doubt, and so forth. These negative emotions will continue to build up, often leading to overwhelming stress, and our perception becomes fuzzy.
Keeping the brain active can help you avoid these negative outcomes. Daily activities like reading, writing, or enjoying any activity that forces us to use the brain can benefit us all. In fact, the more you use your brain, the more your brain cells will expand. Studies have shown that the death of brain cells is linked to aging. The brain must generate new cells to replace the dying ones.
The brain has natural functions that make up the subliminal, subconscious, and unconscious mind. These parts, located in different regions of the brain, manage our bodily functions, such as lungs and blood circulation, ensuring smooth operation throughout our body. When these elements of our human makeup are disrupted, it is often because the brain is not kept active.
Understanding the brain is essential to realize the importance of keeping it active. The more you use your brain, the more power you will develop. What results from expanded power? The ability to focus and practice mindfulness.
Our body and mind require daily activities or exercise. Failing to exercise the body and mind will lead to two main consequences: the degeneration of muscles and joints, which ultimately affects the brain. The brain goes through atrophy, making it difficult for anyone to maintain mindfulness.
Exercising the brain and body daily can enhance your mindfulness practices and self-development procedures. Our mental processes can benefit if we set goals to read, write, or engage in other activities daily that challenge the brain. Adding physical exercise to your routine can improve your chances of cultivating mindfulness.
Keeping the brain energetic through activities is key to achieving mindfulness. When the brain is active, it readily reveals all the information needed for mindfulness practice. For instance, think of a time when you were fully aware of your surroundings, actions, behaviours, habits, words, etc. Reflect on what occurred during that time.
Most people do not experience this level of consciousness, yet those who do often find answers to many problems since the active brain will reveal the secrets buried in the subliminal mind.
The way we perceive things that we observe, hear, smell, taste, etc., plays a crucial role in mindfulness as well. Take some time to review articles on perceptions to enhance your experience in keeping the brain active. Look for factual articles online, especially when you are trying to understand perceptions.
